National Space Day Celebration at NATMO on 2nd August 2024
To commemorate the success of Chandrayan -3 Mission and on the event of declaration of 23rd August 2024 as National Space Day, NATMO is celebrating the Maiden National Space Day 2024 on the theme “Touching Lives while Touching the Moon: India’s Space Saga” through a series of programmes from 2nd to 23rd August, 2024.
Today, on 2nd August, NATMO observed and celebrated National Space Day through online lecture and talk.
The Welcome Address was given by Dr Binod Kumar Singh, Director NATMO.
The Keynote Lecture delivered by Dr Prakash Chauhan, Director NRSC. The topic was “Exploring Moon with Indian Lunar Missions”. Dr Chauhan delivered in detail about Chandrayan Mission of India.
He was introduced by Prof. Manoranjan Kumar, Scientist, S.N.Bose Institute of Basic Sciences.
The Vote of Thanks was given by Shri Uday Shankar Prasad, Director, SOI
About 406 participants joined online to observe and celebrate the Chandrayan Mission of India from amongst NATMO, SOI, SAIARD, S.N.Bose Institute of Basic Sciences, all Autonomous Institutes of DST, ESRI, NEOGEO and Calcutta University.
